"BUTSUMYÔE (The Ceremony of Repentance) and SAPPHO HIKÈTIS (Imploring Sappho) are two works associated with each other to compose a single one-hour concert. They were composed for two female performers (the Japanese Yumi Nara, the Spanish Fatima Miranda), highly creative vocalists with high tessituras and the ability to play a variety of specific percussion instruments, which punctuate their vocal interventions. The first work is purely acoustic, while the second uses an electroacoustic continuum of fixed sounds. "
